Missouri Western State University

With small class sizes (only about 25 per class) and plenty of course choices students can choose their academic path on their own, without being restricted. There are 87 different majors available at Missouri Western State University along with 41 minors. Eighteen different academic departments ensure that students have specific guidance when it comes to their chose career fields.
Athletics
There are ten different sports teams at MWSU. There is also a spirit squad and a loyal legion of fans ready to cheer on all who represent Max the Griffin. Finding the Golden Pride is a common theme at MWSU. Whether students are cheering at a football game or packing the bleachers at a basketball you can be sure that they are filled with pride and anticipating a great time! Living on Campus
If you are planning to attend Missouri Western State University and live on campus, you may be pleasantly surprised with the residence halls and other perks available for students living on campus. There are seven different residence halls on campus, each one houses a specific age group. Freshman and sophomores are often paired in the same halls, the same being true for juniors and seniors. All residence halls have a few constant amenities, one of them being self regulated heating and air conditioning. All residence halls also offer computer labs, basketball courts, and gated parking. Meal plans often come included with residential plans, which is extremely handy. With a food court, cafeteria, convenience store, and more, students will have plenty of choices when it comes to their on campus meals.
