University Of Missouri

The University of Missouri is a large college that welcomes students from all over the world. There are 28,000 students enrolled at Mizzou, and each one will be able to use the stellar education that they receive at the institution to become top leaders in the careers of their choice.

Academics
The University of Missouri-Columbia offers more than 265 degree programs in their four campuses. The college is known the world over for its advances in research and scientific findings. Whether you are a psychology major or are looking into entomology you can be assured that MU has fabulous professors that will guide you in the right direction when it comes to your education. Earn your Bachelor's, Master's or even a doctorate degree while at Mizzou, then go on to use your education in the "real world." MU also offers plenty of choice when it comes to receiving your education. There are more than 30 degree programs that can be taken completely online, a true advantage for students who don't have the time to attend regular classes. With a student to professor ratio of about 20:1 students receive the private attention that is so prevalent in smaller universities.

Athletics
Mizzou is known throughout the country as one of the Big Twelve Conference. The Mizzou Tigers have won multiple national titles in a number of different sports. Currently, the University of Missouri has eighteen different varsity sports teams, ranging from gymnastics to basketball. One thing that can be said for the athletic tradition at Mizzou is that the students here are the ultimate sports fans. Nearly any university sponsored sports event is packet with students and fans ready to cheer for their favorite team, the Tigers!

Campus Organizations
There are well over 500 student organizations available at the University of Missouri. Greek life is huge here, so joining a fraternity or sorority will no doubt allow any student to meet scores of new friends. There are also academic clubs, religious organizations, and cultural opportunities. Student government and the university newspaper allow students to have a voice in university politics and many attending MU choose to take advantage of these opportunities.

Campus Residency
There are 23 different residency halls located on the University of Missouri campus, as well as some university apartments available for student use. All of these residency halls have some common amenities, which include kitchens and computer labs. Most residency packages come with a meal plan. This plan allows students to eat at any of the multiple dining halls or Missouri Unions located on campus.
